Bari Mills is certified to produce OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN products, which is a traceable product label for all kinds of textiles products that have been manufactured in environmentally friendly facilities under safe and socially responsible working conditions.
Bari Mills is a certified OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN Unit equipped with the most modern and latest effluent treatment plant with MBR technology and is now fully functional with a 75% recovery of water, thus saving water and cost.
The MADE IN GREEN label also reassures consumers that the textile products are made of materials that have been tested for harmful substances, optimization of chemical management (e.g. risk management during dyeing and printing, ban and substitution of hazardous chemicals), responsible handling of wastewater and emissions (e.g. reduction of carbon footprint and water usage), waste management (e.g. recycling of textile waste) etc. Coupled with fair working conditions, ban of forced and child labor, occupational safety, and health protection.
BARI, in its strive for excellence, has initiated a brand new facility sighting growing global demand. BARI’s newly expanded location will have multiple stitching floors, a new dyeing house with modern dyeing machines to reduce water and energy consumption by 50%. It will be the first LEED certified dedicated towel manufacturing unit in Pakistan where more than 60% of energy will be solar.
This facility is in its final completion stage and will be fully operational with all necessary compliance in place by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2023.
